There’s a wide variety of recreational opportunities for you to take part in. All programs are led by friendly, qualified staff, who encourage residents to participate.

As you know, social and cultural experiences stimulate the mind, encourage companionship and build friendship within the community.

Entertainment

Entertainers regularly perform at Morgan Place, with extra events held to commemorate special occasions

Bingo

Join in bingo twice a week in the afternoon as well as in the evening. The competition’s friendly and there are prizes to be won.

Pub Day

Our pub days are always a fun social event when residents come together and enjoy listening to an entertainer, dancing and just spending time with each other in a friendly pub-like atmosphere.

Bus Trips

Visit many of the local restaurants in Surrey and White Rock as well as those in surrounding areas such as Ladner, Langley and Aldergrove. The Country Drive is offered for those residents who like to get out, but don’t necessarily want to get on and off the bus. The Handidart service has a variety of tours that take residents down scenic country roads or to the beach.

Morgan News keeps you and your family up to date on all the happenings around Morgan Place. The back page is the calendar of events to help you decide which activity you will attend today.

Fitness/Current Events

Fitness events are offered most days, along with current news and trivia to get you up, on the move and starting the day off right.

Monthly Birthday/Anniversary Party

The monthly birthday/anniversary party is a social event when you and the other residents and their families can join together and celebrate with music, cake and good times.

Morgan Market

The Market is run by volunteers and offers various items such as chips, chocolate bars, toothpaste, hand lotion, etc. The Morgan Mobile Market goes around weekly and sells individually to residents.

Music Therapy

Music Therapy is offered to our Alzheimer’s and dementia residents. Our Music Therapist is a trained professional whose goal is to address the needs of the individual or small group of residents.

Monthly Events

Each month, you can join in events like Oktoberfest, Hawaiian days, New Years, and more with special meals, entertainers, decorations, and contests.

All recreation programs at Morgan Place help restore, maintain and/or improve your physical, emotional, social and psychological well-being. All of our recreation programs are yours to choose. Your participation is entirely up to you.
